bespoke
Bespoke acrylic fabrication services, taking your idea and turning it into a reality. Our team of specialist Graphic and CAD designers will use their expertise to awaken your project. We will also assist in the realisation of the brief, prototyping and producing the product. Bespoke acrylic fabrication projects show our ability to stretch the boundaries of the materials we work with, driving innovation and creativity.
INGS LIBRARY YOUTH SPACE
For this project, we supplied the 55 reverse printed acrylic hexagons and corresponding foam board. These hexagons were uv printed, vinyl backed and mounted to the foam board in house. Finally, the foam boards were staggered in thicknesses, giving them a 3D element against the wall vinyls. We also supplied the opal light box, printed with colour swatches from the photographs. This light box illuminates from the back, shining through the colours.
bespoke WATER FEATURES
Over the years, we have also completed a wide range of acrylic water features for various environments. These projects showcase not only our design skills, but our fabrication experience. Also, combining these features with LED lighting gives the overall unit an eye-catching look. Illuminating the brand or logo being displayed.
RON DEARING UTC
The sculptural installation proposed for the Ron Dearing UTC main atrium is an exciting fusion of art and engineering. Consisting of a complex formation of ‘unique’, rainbow-coloured discs, suspended from the double height ceiling at varying heights and angles. Also each disc is manufactured from 10mm clear Perspex acrylic, oven formed into different curves. Then, covered in Dichroic film, each measuring a minimum of 1 metre in diameter.
bespoke FURNITURE
In addition to full rollout projects, we are often asked to create bespoke one-off furniture designs. These projects explore our vast fabrication and design abilities, testing the boundaries of the materials we work with. These pieces have been displayed all around the world in exhibitions and private properties.
Kelvin Hall School
All involved in this project were keen not to simply mount photographic panels to the wall. Working closely with our company, miniature cardboard prototype models were created, which inspired the vibrant permanent feature. The panels replicated a traditional unwound roll of film. The twenty metre long, drape formed acrylic panels had the images applied using a printed vinyl. Then, they were covered with an anti-reflective film, allowing the students work to be shown.
Almere Shopping Centre
This project required lenses for 52 “Light swirls”, 11 designs were created from 25mm clear acrylic. To a depth of 75mm, with a frosted finish applied on three sides and mitred to join sections to create longer swirls. Then thermoformed using our in-house formers and set into the steel U channel provided by Kemps Lighting.
